I have lived in Va all my life-to be more precise-Va Beach...I have heard of Leesburg but I am not familar with what it is near?? Shame you aren't moving to the hampton roads area as we have about the nicest jet site on the east coast. We fly at Fentress NALF -A Navy facilty used for F18,F14,E2's & sometimes A6 Prowlers, they train & do simulated carrier landings here ,very cool it is setup just like a aircraft carrier. We are blessed to have over 8000 feet of smooth runway & flying space

Hi Bob,
There's a few flying clubs not far from Leesburg. I've never been to the fentress field but have heard good about it. From Leesburg it's going to be around 3-1/2 hours away. [link=http://www.1nvrc.com/]NVRC[/link] is pretty close to leesburg but I don't know if anyone is flying turbine jets there. It's a grass strip which has trees around. [link=http://www.dc-rc.org/]DCRC[/link] or [link=http://www.aero-sports.com/pgrc/]PGRC[/link] both are around 1 hour away and both have paved runways and local jet/turbine fliers. Andy Kane flies turbines also and is a local member to the DCRC club I believe.
There's a couple of good hobby shops local also. [link=http://www.hobbyhangarva.com/]Hobby Hanger [/link] is just around the corner from Dulles Airport just off of rt 50 and 28. [link=http://www.dougshobby.com/]Doug's hobby shop [/link] is in Waldorf Maryland and [link=http://www.gpahobbies.com]GPA hobbies [/link] is in Crofton Maryland.
