Great photos!

Whats the story on the Airliner? Is this a kit or a one off? What was it powered by?

Default Mallorca Jets 2002 Pics

I just replied to another mail on the subject, but then I found this thread! I'm the guy that took the pictures and there is only one that's been played around with, I can assure you. I did it for a bit of fun as I'm only just getting into Photoshop. The rest are straight up and most were shot with a professional Canon digital SLR camera with a top quality Canon EF 80-200mm zoom lens... the type used by a lot of sports reporters from what I gather. With a really fast shutter speed (1500) I can get the sort of shots you see, but only on a reasonably bright day. If you've got any questions feel free to mail me.

Please you're all enjoying them

Regards,
Dominic

Can you tell me more about the Air France Concorde, and the Swiss DC-9, very interesting, where they D/F or turbine. How did they fly etc... I'm waiting to see any of the 737 series, i know its only a matter of time.

Thanks for the pictures

Both the DC9 and the Concorde came over from Germany and both were twin turbine powered. The DC9 has 2 JetCat P80's in it, but I'm afraid I don't know about the Concorde... I have a feeling it may be the same. Both flew beautifully and very scale in the hands of 2 excellent pilots. Unfortunately, the Concorde had a little misshap on landing at the end of day 1 and ended up with the nose section and half the tail missing. A real shame, but I think the runway was simply a bit too short for it.

The Concorde had a pair of Sky Pipe 80s fitted (just short of 36 lbs thrust in total ). Looked perfect in the air!

Cheers,

xxl jet from germany (post # 1)

I like the pictures from the Mallorca 2000 Jet meet. From the pictures I noticed the xxl jet img 2275, the large jet with the canard and the tip tanks. I owned two now I have the third one on order. With these two plans I have experanced lots of problems with the CG and the canard inscedence. This jet flys very good and I am looking for some information on that xxl jet, because I did not received any information when I rececived them.
The problems I had is the CG wihich I have moved forwad 5 inches. I would like the proper CG and the canard inscedence. The nose would belly upwards on the landing.

If you know of any one who can provide with this information they can email me at [email protected].

Thank you pilatus porter joe

Default Mallorca Jets

Hi,

I am not sure whether the XXL plane and the Hispano Sueza planes shown on this thread are made by this guy.
Check out this web site:

www.jetwelt.de

I have dealt with the guy and he speaks some English that you are able to communicate with.

R,

I think the Hispano was the HA-200 SAETA - and it was a full-size job!

Cheers,

Dick

Default Hispano Saetta

Hi Dick,

Hope everything is opk with yourself and the family and that you are all enjoying the summer sunshine

Anyway, I realised that the Hispano was a a full sized plane after I sent it as originally I looked at it in small size.
Well, Jetwelt do have a Hispano plane and I thought that they might have been to Majorca with their XXL and the Hispano.

Excuse the mistake folks

BTW Dick...making progress on the Mig-15 but there is still a lot of ground to cover. Hope to be able to send you some more updated shots.

See you on chat.

Regards

Reuben
