It's a good airplane. Honestly I haven't found anything bad with mine. Mine weighs just under 21 pounds dry with a P-70 in it and is a good performer. I've seen them fly on P-120's and they're just missiles with that much power. If there is a negative, it's the narrow gear doesn't like crosswinds.

I havent seen one in person fly but I just bought the FJ04 DVD and man does that baby look sweet on there.I have been told & its obvious from the dvd footage that its flies great and is very comparible to a ES.The Gripen looks to be a bullet with a P80 on board as seen on the FJ dvd.Several buddies here just ordered Gripens,I look foward to seeing the jet up close. They should have them very soon

Thanks for the information.

Doug, I was wondering a bit on the gear. Unlike the ES where the gear in mounted on the wings, thus giving it a wider stance I figure the Jas-39 would be more like my F-16.

Steve, I orderd the video today and look forward to watching the Jas-39 footage. I did download a video from their site which was linked to another site that was impressive.
