Default Any info on Robarts FunSonic Turbine

Hey guys, does anyone have any info on the Robarts FunSonic turbine? I am looking for a 12lb turbine. Not much choice. I noticed they do have a good warrenty. 200 runs or 30 hours.
If anyone has any news good or bad, let me know.
Thanks,
Michael

"not much choice"??

Simjet 1200, Wren MW54, FTE 500, SWB Mamba, Moore's 54, PST 600

There are 6 different 12 pound thrust engines that are North AMerican sold and/or serviced right there.

The TJT deamon (sp?) and the Jetcat P70 are close I think also in thrust (but slightly more).

And of course the Funsonic.

Lots of choices!!

I am flying the PST J600R on my Stingray, that little extra punch is nice for those missed approaches, it does not really know the speedbrakes are out when you call for more power, it powers right through all the extra drag as if it were never there! The engine starts and runs every time too. I seen one Funsonic at Florida Jets and it was in RTIs trailer for servicing, something to think about, I think there might have been one on the new ARF that Robart is coming out with, 50% reliability is not bad I guess?

No I meant the new turbines coming from Joe's Garage.

I'll bet there are more people claiming to be turbine manufacturers now than there are makers of internal combustion motors.

Like Andrew said, there are a number of good 12lb class turbines out there. Review them all and make your choice.

PS Matt, have you finished that Stingray yet?
