Default Ozark Mountain Jets, IMPORTANT hotel information.

There is another large event in Sullivan (a dog show) on the same weekend as Ozark Mountain Jets. I am told by folks in Sullivan that the dog show "fills up hotel rooms for 30 to 40 miles around".

When I heard this news, I blocked a group of rooms at two different hotels. You must make reservations early! The blocked rooms will be released to the dog show people if not spoken for by September 1st.

The hotels with reserved rooms are the Baymont and the Super 8. VERY IMPORTANT to tell them that you are booking one or more of the rooms that are reserved for the Ozark Mountain Jets rally.

2004 promises to be bigger and better! Come fly with us and enjoy all the jet action.

Ron,

Did you like the ability to taxi to and from your shelter last year? Sullivan now has a new taxiway that extends to the west end of the runway which will give us lots more room to work with.

Steve,
Yep, this is the most laid back fly-in of the year for me. Way low pressure atmosphere.
I recommend this fly in for anyone, especially the new guys, plenty of flight time, plenty of help, loooooong runway, great bunch of guys.
The Saturday nite bar-b-que is fantastic. Not much in town as far as entertainment tho. Might have to look a bit harder for some "fun".
I think more jet events are adapting this type of pit-runway layout.

Take care,
Ron
