Default 0S 91 DF low end help

i need help with my OS 91 DF engine. i don't know where the low end screw mixture needs to be. is there any who who know how many turns out it needs to be. I'm not really sure what the problem is but every time i start the engine i have to have it at half way open to keep it running and then if i give it full throttle the motor starts dieing. so i could really use some help.

thanks

Chase

Here's some info from the OS ENGINES website from where you can get help with your problem.

"Email: Email us at [email protected]. Please try to include as much information as possible when asking your question. Also please be sure to list your full email address (ex: [email protected]) as well as at least one other means of daytime contact in your email.

Telephone: 1-217-398-8970. Available Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm U.S. Central Time."

I had a similar problem with a Hanno Special a little while ago, which is also discontinued, and they set me on the right track. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Sounds like your low end setting is too lean. Try this : close carb. all the way down - turn low speed needle all the way in untill you can feel it seat -(do not force it!)- now back it out 3 full turns - start and run to full power - throttle down slowly and let it idle - open throttle and if it is a clean transistion - you are there - if not just turn it in 1/8 increments until it is the way you want it.
hope this helps.
