Red Deer, Alberta Jet Rally
Hey guys, it's almost that time, I was wondering how many were planning to attend. If you want to camp there are places to camp as well as provisions for 4 campers with hookups.
Here are the directions and specifics:
Viperperformance Jet Rally: July 3rd and 4th
Location: Lacombe county, Alberta
Directions: From Highway 2, take the exit for Gull lake (highway 12) Heading WEST turn right at RR 27-4 (on this corner you will see a large building for County of Lacombe) Continue on this road North until you approach TWP 41-0. Turn in at the first house on the right, BE COURTEOUS. This is a private residence with airstrip, they have been gracious enough to allow us to use their property for this rally, I don't want any torn up grass or anything like that happening, also be careful as there are full scale airplanes parked where you will come in.
No MAAC or AMA, no fly. Proof of MAAC or AMA must be shown upon registration. Registration is $10 please.
Runway is 4000' x 80' of asphalt. All jets welcome, Ducted fan, Turbine, EDF, or prop.
For more info contact myself (Jeremy) at [email protected]

Guys,
I talked with Art (the owner of the field) yesterday, and he says that if you want to leave models in the Hangers that is fine with him. It is at your own risk however. He's never had a break in, but you never know what will happen these days.
He also has his own runway sweeper and the grass will be mowed and the asphalt swept before the weekend.
If the weather next weekend is as good as today is looking it will be the best Jet event in Alberta (actually, I think it's the only one, so I guess it will have that title anyway LOL)!!!!
See you all there!!!!!

RE: Red Deer, Alberta Jet Rally
Hey everyone,
Here is the game plan for Friday.
I will be out at the field until approximately 6:30pm.
If guys want to find the field on Friday first, feel free. Red Deer is about 20km's from the field. It's a bit of a hike, but there are lots of good hotels and restaruants.
At about 7:00pm anyone who is interested can meet at my house and we'll go out for dinner.
For directions to my place give me a call or email.
If there are any questions I will have my cell phone with me and can be reached at 403-302-0283
See you all there!
