Just opened up a big box from Mr. Fiorenze. Christmas came a little early this year. Looking at the contents, WOW. NIce fiberglass, panel lines and rivets.... Very good detail. When I ordered the kit, I spoke with Mr. Fiorenze. VERY nice gentleman to talk with. I hope he didnt get to bored with me after all the questions I asked. Very helpful. Now all I have to do is build this thing, power will be RAM 750. Color schemes? Ive seen a few T38A's, but I would like to do a Bravo model. Any ideas for documentation? Anyways I know this really doesnt pertain to the original thread, but this is a nice kit with good instructions and really nice parts and also very good customer service at a low price!!!!!

Default AT-38B photo

Here's a picture of the current paint scheme for the AT38B. I flew them in the AF as an instructor in the Fighter lead-in program years ago. Still a great airplane. Check out: Northop's T-38 Talon, A Pictorial History by Don Logan. A Schiffer military history book. Photo's of almost every T-38 paint scheme.
I have 2 of the George Miller kits-about the same if not exact size. One 80% done for a RAM 750PR.

Default NASA

I like the simple Nasa scheme:

Although the current paint has the classic red swoop from the round NASA patch on the tail, which looks better - I think.

Why is there something that looks like fuel venting from the inverted one in that photo?

Cause there's fuel venting from the inverted one!

Probably a very simple venting system, as they aren't intended for more than a few seconds of (-)g's. Either that or it's just a little transient burp.

I was once watching a 747 take off from another airliner at the hold-short line. Thing must have been fueled for transpacific, because GALLONS of fuel came out of a trailing edge vent as it accelerated down the runway. Must have been pouring for the first 10 seconds or so.

Default Bravo Mod

I know I have a long way to go before I do the paint, but this camo looks pretty cool. Can anyone tell me what kind of armament the B model carried?

Default AT38B Armament info

The AT-38B could carry a SUU-20 Bomb-Rocket dispenser or a SUU-11 Gun Pod. The bombs were 25# standard practice ones (BDU-33) and the rockets were 2.75". The gun was a 7.62.
The aircraft was modded with an adjustable sight and the necessary switches to deliver the weapons as found on fighters the students would see.

Default Nasa T38

Is that your model? Who's kit?
It's an old George Miller kit, highly modified, with full gear doors and a Dynamax fan/OS .91 combo.

I sold it without ever having flown it.

How does Bob's T-38 fly? A great looking jet that is on my list of "future projects". Currently flying an Avonds 104 that is difficult to see due to the "no wing" phenomen and wonder if the T-38 presents the same problem.
