My building board isn't clear just now, but it will be about 5 minutes after the two Super Bandits arrive...

I spoke to David Shulman about the super bandit yesterday - sounds like they hope to start shipping on Friday.

Did you get composite or balsa? I heard the main gear door are seperately molded and much easier to do.

That, combined with the new molded cowls should lower the building time I hope.

Both were ordered as balsa super bandits - one with swept fin and one with the regular fin. The regular fin one is for me, the other is for a friend.

Whatever the building time is, its got to be way less than the BVM Mig 15 that I'm currently building for the same guy that the other super bandit is for !! The Mig is one seriously labor intensive kit, especially the finicky parts like the stab, and the inlet ducts which are requiring considerable rework to make them fit. Overall still a very good kit though.

Once the Super bandit arrives, I guess I will finally have to stop harassing Chris Huhn about it being late.... so instead I'll have to switch to beating him up about how late my P160 (for the bandit) is ! ;-) I've just gotta have something to hassle him about - I mean, he can't expect to get his enormous comission without some kind of headaches now, can he ? In return, he pays me back by saving up every faulty Jetcat part he can find, and puts them all in MY engine. What are friends for, after all ?

Later,
Gordon

Default Huhn

boy he has friends all over!

As for a bandit with a P-160, I hope you have been eating your carrots.

I got to fly my bandit with a P-160 for a few flights......it went pretty good.

pretty fast too.......

I tried to, but I couldn't see them. So, I've told my wife to stop buying those silly little "baby carrots", and get some of the large-print ones instead. Hopefully that will help. If not, I'll just get Chris to stand there and yell "left a bit", "up a bit" etc. whenever the aircraft is more than a couple of hundred feet away.

Regs,
Gordon
