FUTABA or JR for jets?
Nothing quite like a good Heathkit. I'm still looking for a NIB kit for one. Anybody have one they want to part with? Nothing like building it yourself, I say. Why trust someone else to build those electronics?
If I can't find that, I would go with a Kraft Sport Series. I had one on 27 mhz in 1974 that never once glitched me in hundreds of flights, so I'm sure it would be rock solid now.

Hey Tony.... I have an old Heathkit 8 channel rig I still have all the manuals and everything. It was my first radio, BUT....if you would like I will desolder all the parts, and pack it all in a box and ship it to you so you can have as much fun putting it together as I did!

BTW it was a nice little radio in its day.

Tony----Again I offer you my Space Control Propo. The only system that was guaranteed not to work right out of the box.
