Default Batteries standard for jets

I have been using a 1500 mah battery in a jet for the passed two and half years with no problems. And this year I have been getting failsafe mode on my 9z Futaba, I replace the battery and still the same result. I have 7 servo, two that are digital, a jetcat brake valve and I have a P80. The battery is been drained some how, I test all servos and the test OK. Any suggestion are welcome?

Send the trans and rec to the manufacturer.

Send the ecu to the manufacturer.

Don't take chances.

Agreed, also test your entire servo setup in the jet with control surfaces hooked up with an amp meter to make sure you're not stalling any servos.

Suggest, a sean stated....you check the system with one of these.....

May have a servo putting excessive load on the system......

Before we send this gentleman out to buy equipment or tear his airplane apart to send equipment back to the manufacturer, there are just a couple of quick questions that we should ask. The 1500 mah battery you are refering to, is it in your TX or is it the RX battery? If it is the RX battery don't send your tx and rx back to the manufacturer, yet. If it is not the ECU battery dont send that back either, yet.

You said the battery you have been using has been going strong for the past 2.5 years. Have you cycled the battery several times to make sure it is still holding capacity? Have you tried a NEW or different battery in your system? Is the current battery is still showing a minimum of at least 80% capacity at a full charge? If not replace it. If so when you check the voltage on it, put a load on it to see if it starts dropping rapidly under load. If you put a 1 amp load on the battery and it starts dropping voltage rapidly it is more than likely the battery has just given up the ghost.

If it is your TX battery try a new battery in your TX. The 9Z's consume power like a fatman at an all you can eat buffet. If the battery still continues to drain down at an extremely rapid rate, send your TX in for service. Something is wrong.

After first starting with the battery and you find that it is not the problem then I would continue on with the other suggestions.

Patrick.

I just recently had a problem like this but not in a plane but in a RC Car that I could go out for about 20 minutes and the rx would go into failsafe. I tore the damn thing apart thinking something was wrong. Even though it was a relatively new battery when I cycled it I had only 70% rated capacity remaining and when I put it under a 1 amp load it would drop .1 volt every few seconds. Replaced the battery and have not had one bit of trouble out of it.
