Responses to R/C Babes website.
I hope that I will be allowed to make a couple of points here. First of all, out of 1,584 visits to the post and website, 6 people choose to look indecently at a presentation that was solely intended as a presentation of a family's involvement in our sport and a young lady who has a great interest in it also.
The .4% (less than 1/2 of 1% of the viewers) of the visitors who have voiced their opinion in a negative manner have successfully closed the thread! I can only ask, why you would look at such a wholesome presentation in such a lewd manner and publicly declare the manner in which you view the average 16 year old young lady? Do you view teenage television programing in the same manner also?
I do understand one point that could possibly be taken wrong and that is the term "Babes", and possibly I should have named her section, "R/C Sweethearts", the website will define itself and the strict standards that are in place for it. If a majority of viewers tell me that I am wrong, I will be the first to respect that and remove the Miss Cross presentation.

I'm not a prude, I'm not interested in shutting down your website. To each his own.
But don't call us STUPID by saying it has anything to do with "family values". PLEASE. Bob Guccione rationalizes much better than you. Even Gooch Junior does better.
See the pic. Cheesecake is cheesecake, don't call it something else. Especially DON'T call it "family values", we're not all that stupid.

I agree with you on the Airplane page, however, the discussion was about the Heli page, hence my reply. The topics you bring up is a totally different subject.
One other note, please notice the information on the website that ALL its content is copyrighted and you must obtain written permission by law to re-publish any of the materials within as you just did.

babes vs. sweethearts
Family values? Cheesecake?
Well.. yes, its cheesecake and I like that and I liked visiting that website because it was fun. I don't get where the family values part comes into it though. But Easytiger, I kept rereading CHobbyHorse1 statement and I don't see where CHobbyHorse1 called anyone stupid.
I printed out a few pages of RC Babes and showed it around to some of my fellow clubmembers who got a big kick out of it. They liked it, but then again, you could just consider us guys who are working towards our DOM masters degree (Dirty Old Men).
I like cheesecake noseart on my warbirds, and I really miss Scale R/C Modeler magazine. I think that CHobbyHorse1 has kinda revived that magazine cover style in his website. And I don't get the impression that he will be putting up porn on that site either. Lets just see how it develops over the next few months.
Well, anyway, thats just my two cents worth.

One of the six....
As one of the "six of us" in this thread, I feel the need to chime in here. I've emailed Ted off-channel (as he requested) and have received a nice honest response from him explaining his potential plans for his web site. I say, more power to him. While I may not agree completely with his choice of including pictures of a very lovely young girl in the helicopter section given the current "look & feel" of the site, I find nothing offensive about his site content.
I too miss the "cover girls" of the old days, but we live in different "politically correct" times now, for better or worse. Ted, I hope your site evolves into whatever YOU want it to be and wish you the best in your endeavors.

Its as easy as......
I think the site is great. If you want to show models, or potential models......... then have at it. Its as easy as, clicking that little X in the top right corner of your screen, or better yet, if you find his site to be offensive, then DON"T GO THERE!
As far as, making this sport look bad, I think not! That is just a cheap shot.

Have you ever seen a hot rod mag,low rider,or bike mag.They all have some type of nice looking girls in it.Now you look at
a plane with A girl next to it it's ofcorse porn right?.Man I love cheese cake and I love airplanes.I gess some guys just cant fly when they are nice looking girls around right.I love to show off when I'm flying,I would love more to show off when they are perty girls at the flying field but at our feild they are 50 to 1 guy's to girls.So mybe I can go to the website and dream A little.Model airplane mag's are the only one's I have seen that has taken the girls out of.Why,I wonder who knows right.I know.Take care Wilburn

I was one who posted a complaint.Would like to be clear on my motives.
1. I think good looking girl's WITH!! good looking planes is OK.
2.That was'nt enough for some, who started posting provocative pic's of supposed girl friends or spouses, NO PLANES !!
3.I thought the taunting comment's to ladyflyer to step up and post pic's of herself so a comparison to her avatar could be made, were rude , in the least.
SIMPLY PUT This is RC-UNIVERSE ! A fantastic open forum for all RC related subject's , and pictures.
Here's my contribution, she's a girl, and leaning over a RC airplane.

I think you are all just reading too much into this. For example, the young lady with the rather huge melons that is in the R/C Babes photo that Easytiger re-posted above was obviously simply trying to adjust the throttle linkage on that Ryan STA and was surprised by the photographer!

All the "Ladies Man" ever suggested was, dump the glasses. Leon doesn't feel that they are sexy and has noticed that every single, cringe when saying this...babe...on the site is wearing glasses. Is this a theme or what? leon is still waiting for the "Babe" portion of the program to reveal itself, however.
