Default rookie wing mounting

Hi all,

What I need to know is #1 when I mounted my wing and locked it in place I looked at the top of the fuse.
and found that the the fuse top and the side of the vert stab had buckles in them.
Has this ever happened to any of your rookie's?? I do not know what to do! im just sick!!!!!!

regards,
Dan Crawford

mine is the same on left and right wing and vert stab ,, more on left, slight on right.. maybe sand the edges of wing and fuse in that area or some type of small shimming. seems that stab is beefed up more right there. i think maybe its squeezing the stab evenly everywhere but there because of the beefing. if someone has a fix let us know.

Mine did the same thing....Just don't tighten the wings down as to distort the fuse, wings, and fins. There isn't any vibration with a turbine so I just tighten them down enough to get the job done. I haven't had one work loose yet in dozens of flights as well as tumbling the plane.

Also, to keep from loosing the wing bolts when you take the plane apart I purchased a couple of small rubber "O" rings from the hardware store and slid them on to the bolts. The "O" ring keeps the bolt in place and is located between the fin and the wing when the wings are installed. I don't take the fins off.....You can still use the "O" rings if you take the fins off....You just have to slide the "O" ring on to the bolt between the fin and the fuselage. Although the bolts are metric, a long screw driver type 3/16th's Allen wrench makes tightening up the bolts a breeze.

my bolts go from out in wing thru stab and screw into blind nuts in fuse. i used a piece of fuel line like you did with o ring. i agree maybe just don,t tighten them to much.
