T-38 Jet Rally
We are getting ready for next weeks T-38 Jet Rally in Lubbock. We will begin flying on Wednesday August 18.
If you are looking for a place to stay check out http://lubbockhospitality.com/ .
My recommendation is to stay at the Ashmore Inn. The location is great, the rate is reasonable, and the owners do an excellent job.

We have already begun setting up stakes to mark out the pit area, etc.
Point of fact, we have come up with an idea of, right behind the pit area, will be an "civilian" access corridor running the entire length of the pit area and about 15 feet wide. Behind this corridor will be the parking places for you RVs, trailers, etc.. We wanted to provide better security for the pilot's and their gear; but still allow the civilians to walk up and look or ask questions.
There will be plenty of access points in the fence line to go from the RV parking to the pit area where you can set up your EZ ups and canopys.
There will be one giant pilot station this time around. Big enough to handle four, maybe five pilots in the air at once.
So - one more week until set up day starts!

Our weather is shaping up nicely.

With luck, the temperature will be more moderate than what we are used to.
We will have most of the site set-up work done tomorrow (Tuesday).

Wednesday
We are completely set up and operational. The weather cooperated and we were able to get some flying in this afternoon.
The weather looks promising for tomorrow and even better for the weekend.
