Default A CG/ moment question for Matt / Anyone

Matt,

Can you figure out what the change in nose weight needed will be if 6 pounds was moved 2 inches rearward?

How far forward of the CG can the new nose weight be installed?

EDIT well in any case moving the weight has generated a new moment of 12 inch pounds.

So divide 12 inch pounds by the distance (in front of the CG) that you will be able to mount the nose weight.

Just plug in the distance from the CG to the noseweight and you will have the answer in pounds.

12/(Dist to Nose weight) = Amount of Nose Weight

If it is 36 inches (3 feet) then that is 12/36 = .33 pounds or 5.28 ounces.

Kenny: I thought you just got your pilots license, you should be able to do this.
