Well, we are in a major mandatory Evacuation mode here in Boca Raton so this is it for us at home rapping it all up. This Hurricane sits three times the size of Andrew and slower ( 13 mph ) so this is not looking too good for anyone in the Tri-County area (South Florida) My business has been completely evacuated as well now the house is being left behind, I wish I had a basement man for all my jets Right now my entire Hangar is in my trailer and the trailer has been put away in a Storage Facility along with the rest of our stuff.

Good Luck Beautiful Florida hang tight and Thank you my RCU buddies for your support.

Todd,
You sure you want to ride this one out? It is not looking good. I'd get out of town if I were you.
Good luck and god bless!

I'll be ok guys, My inlaws house has a "Safe Room", Basically a steel box designed for up to 200mph winds. It's a brand new neighborhood so no trees larger than 15'. The house may be gone but the room will still be standing .... If it wasnt for that I would be gone too. Unfortunatly, since my work does $350,000 to $500,000 in business a day I must stick around to secure the systems and remove all the servers from the site at days end.... I am the only one capable of doing this job properly []....

Hey guys,

Just wanted to drop a line and let you know BVM will be closed Friday Sept 3rd so all of us can protect our families and homes, etc.

Hopefully it will change course, because right now its headed straight for central Florida! [&:]

Dave and the rest of you Florida folks.......best of luck .......hang in there.

Spoke to my family down in Ft Laud area.... sounds like they are ready for the storm. I'm just a little surprised they have not started draining the canals down yet (as of this morning).

They told me some amazing stories of folks buying $60 - $100 a sheet decorative paneling and furnature grade lumber to board up windows.... nothing much else available as of yesterday. I guess its still cheap enough trying to protect a $1200 sliding glass door.

My sister and brother in law have a home which is 50% glass wall/door in the back yard. They removed the plywood floor from their garage 'attic' space to board up that beast.

Again...... best wishes with all of you

Bob

Not good

You florida guys will be whaling and nashing teeth cause that thing took for ever to leave

First part of it its hard second part hit harder.

Florida needs to change their style of construction
Our homes uses concrete blocks and some of us still get wasted. I dont want to imagine what wil hapeen to those prefabricated homes over there.

I will post back

Anyone interested in purchasing a 3/2 w 2 car garage on a 1/3 of an acre? Located in lovely Bradenton, FL.

Seriously, though we are doing ok in Bradenton, we did not get anything from charley but got some wind and rain from frances. We have been very lucky but if Ivan goes where he is predicted then we will get the full brunt of it this time.

Just want to say thanks to all those guys out of state sending your best wishes to us in FL. It really is appreciated.

Patrick.

Lock up tight you guys,

I really hope that NONE of you are hurt,

Lets hope it is just a rain storm and turns out to be very little.

Good Luck, thinking of y'all!
