Default Thinking about it!!

Right now I am into RC helicopters, but have been looking at Jets. I am not planning on getting a jet anytime soon, but a few years later will get into it. What kind of things should I prepare for? What would I need. I dont' know if anyone can type out a list of things needed for a jet, and also a general price range for an average RC jet with everything added up to fly.

If you are considering a jump into jets I would strongly urge you to purchase real flight G2. If you have it then practice practice practice. Set up the jets to fly fast, slow, heavy etc. purchase all the add ons with the different jets. Once you get real comfortable flying landing dead sticking etc then start saving. you can catch some good deals on the RCU jets for sale section. average jet can cost from $3500.00 to $25000.00 it just depends on how deep your pockets are, keep in mind thats the go fly prices. you can purchase a kit $1100.00 to $5000.00 turbines $1450 to $5000.00 and the many accessories to get it off the ground $500.00 to $1950.00 please keep in mind that these are just ballpark figures. But if thats your dream then make it happen by a piece at a time and you will eventually achieve your goal, as far as parts list just visit some of the jet manufacturers websites and keep the calculator handy...

Hey thanks! I apprechiate that. I am just looking into some things first. I am wanting to see and get ideas on other jet pilots so I can see what kind of training I would have to go into and to see what flying an RC jet feels like as compaired to an air plane. Now I don't fly planes, but learning helis right now. That is hard enough. I know jets are super fast and can get away from you real quick plus I think landing them would be worse than anything in the world. Well not in the world, but pretty bad. I of course don't have near the amount of money to spend on a jet, but one day I might have that amount or may want to save up that amount. More than anything, I love watching jets fly, and if I can ever fly my own, wow!

Hey no problem this jet thing was a dream for me as a child and trust me I achieved my goal. Get the simulator it will graduate you real quick I have seen guys who have never flown a plane period practice on real flight for a couple of weeks and come out to the field and solo in just one day.

yeah do yourself a favor and get a good simulator first like G2. Dont jump straight into it like i did went straight from props into turbines.. kind of a mistake and a costly one at that.. Use the simulator and get yourself a good trainer and if you know someone that flies turbines that will instruct you on how its done learn from them.. Then invest in the kit you want and set-up

Yeah I am getting Real flight very soon. Like I said before, I am still practicing with helis so I will learn those and then I will practice with jets and prop planes as well. One day maybe about a couple of years later I will see how my money is and then will purchase a jet kit and get it all together. But yeah I know I will need practice.

Hey, the Real Flight will help you in your Heli learning a lot as well.
I tried to learn heli's for years before I finally spent the money to do it right.
A big part of it was the simulator.
Now I can do limited acrobatics and fly inverted down the runway at will with my Helis.

Get Real Flight NOW !!!
the first time you save a Heli crash will pay for it.
