Default Show and Tell

Welcome to RCUniverse!

Since we have the option of posting pictures here, I thought it would be fun to do a little show and tell. Post a picture of one of your planes and tell us about it!

This is a top gun F15 with a OS .91, Byron fan and pipe. I tossed the stock fan blade and added a huricane impeller. Spring air gear with robart struts, TG cockpit kit and BVM wheels and brakes. This is one superb flyer, perfect airplane for those wising to move into jets. Not a super fast kit (125/135 mph) but great trainer jet!

Very Nice!!! How did you get the pics to show up?
Here is my Byron Bullet, its got a new OS.91 in it, JR radio. it flies.. Its my first ducted fan.

By the way, anyone know what this thing would be worth if I was to sell it? I got a few items and this was one of them. I got a turbine and a topcat coming so I may not even fly it again!

This is my prop jet, direct donnection F20, YS45 and spring air retracts, I think its as fast as the bullet but its hard to tell..

Default Ok, It's not mine yet....

Ok, this is supposed to be show and tell..

I don't have it yet, but this is going to be my first DF. Its an ARF from Jet Hangar Hobbies. I think they are supposed to be shipping in December, but since I'm #71, I should get it in January.

Its a.45 model, not many around but should work fine in my small runaway..

Regards,
Edgar

Default Jets...

Well, here's a picture of the jets I've collected this year. From left to right they are:

Direct Connection F-20 Tigershark - Rossi .45
BVM Maverick - BVM .91
Direct Connection F/A-18 - Enya .80x

Nice board here... and it's quick too!

Hey Guys.

I'm trying to post a pic of my XL but it keeps telling me that it isn't a valid GIF or JPEG format. What's up with that?? I've checked it 3 times 2 different ways and it is a JPEG....???

Any way it's coming along nicely, but I 'm at a stop right now. I need to sell my Starfire to move things along.
The XL has been a joy to build. I just wish I could start another.

Default Byron Bullet...

John,

I saw one for sale at Superman 2001 and the guy was asking $650 for it. I have no idea what one is worth or what he had in his. I do remember that is was is really nice shape.

A new airplane on order AND "Moderator" status... ooooooooh

Yeah buddy, stepping up in the world! I still dont have it in my hands, but am very excited!!

Dang, $650? I would take less than that for mine, Maybe I ought to sell it.. Hmmm Mine needs some touch up and maybe recover the wings...

Since I have not really seen much on the Topcat, I am thinking of doing a mini review, maybe take some in progress pics as well as in flights!

This is cool, here's a picture of my Simjet powered Kangaroo.
Just put flight number 73 on it last weekend. Hope the weather is warm enough to fly one more time this weekend.

Ok...Here is anouther one in my stable.
This is a SimJet 2300 powered kangaroo. Robart retracts, robart struts, BVM wheels - brakes - smoothstop and header tank (UAT). Mini hobby speed limiter, two 1800 mah NiMH batts, 2 JR8411 servos for elevons, 2 volz servos for rudders. being flown with a futaba 8UAP, Weighs in at 20 lbs and is speed limited to 200mph. Absolute blast to fly, currently have 57 flights logged on this one. Since I had some paint left over from the F-15, I used it up on this one

The picture didn't show up?
Pete,

You either need to put a link to it if it exists on the web using the "img" tag above OR upload it along with the post using the attach file feature when posting. Let me know if you are still having problems with either method.

Not sure what happened here because I need to know the exact error message but make sure the file size (in bytes) is not too large or the image dimensions (heightxwidth) is not too huge. We set some parameters for this so the pages size well and load reasoably fast if a large number of pics appear on the same page. My guess that may have been the problem if it was definitely jpeg (make sure it ends in .jpeg or .jpg and is a jpeg and not just using the .jpeg extension.)

OK. The green Hog is powered by two OS .91's and Dynamax fans. It is the prototype for the Josh Harel Models kit. It was built and flown at QSAA in '94 and has flown every year since. It is now awaiting twin RAM 500's or the new TJT Falcon engines to be introduced next spring. It has a 115 inch wingspan, is 105 inches long, and weighs in at 54 pounds on the takeoff roll. Uses Futaba 9ZAP radio, 35 feet of extensions, 12 servos, 2000 mil 4.8 volt battery pack. It is made from fiberglass and foam, one piece wing-no spar. Wheels and brakes are from Glennis, retracts from Robart. Cockpit is by Killer Cockpits. It had two 11 oz tanks in each nacelle for a total of 44 oz. Glass work is done by DCU.

The grey Hog is powered by two RAM 750's and has 156 oz of jet A fuel. Friggen awesome!!
