Default Ram 500

I just purchased a used Ram 500, and understand from reading RCU postings that a number of people have had starting troubles with theirs. It was also mentioned that Tony F. wrote up a set of instructions that are a lot better than what's in the manual.

Does anyone have a copy they can forward to me?

Tony,
Are you out there?

Joe

I have a copy of Tony's doc stored on my machine ... send me your email address, and I'll forward the doc.

I've had so many requests for this doc, that I figured I should ask whether anyone who's hosting an R/C website would care to put the doc on-line for easier access for those who want it.

BTW, for all those people who have received the pdf file already and have later sent me a note thanking me for such a useful document - please direct your thanks to Tony, as he's the guy who put all of the hard work into writing all that stuff. Without his expertise and enthusiasm for helping other people, there'd be a lot more RAMs that don't run too well.

Todd - sent you a copy as requested.

Woj - if you want to host it too, on the basis that we can't have too many copies of it around, PM me your email addr. (The email link on RCU does not allow attachments).

Thanks guys !

I have often thought that if RAM had supplied a decent manual with the 500. it would have saved a world of grief. Maybe they would still be in business? No, probably not, but if only Tony had been there to write the manual in the first place, we RAM owners would have had an easier time.

As all 500 owners know, it is very easy to program a RAM 500 so there is no chance at all of getting it to run, and you will never know why, or how to fix it without some help from somebody who knows.

Tony was VERY helpful to me in getting mine going. Thanks, Tony.
