Default Hawaiijets

Hello Turbulence

I know my site has been lacking for the last 3 years. But Im slowly updating it. I see enough computers during the day! My friend who was editing the site has lost all interest so Im doing it now. www.hawaiijets.com

We are flying a few jets now finnaly got my waiver last month. Man that was not fun. But thanks to Ivan Munninghoff who came to Oahu for some work and was kind enough to spend some time with the Hawaii gang we were able to get a few people on the way to their waivers.

Sorry go to go now Ill be in touch soon to give you info on how to get a hold of me.

Default MEET??

Johnny I don't know anything about a meet, I will be there Dec. 8. Heck it would be awsome to pull a Jet Rally there. Maybe even if we could show up for a fun fly or something.

I am going there to get tired and perspire a lot. Those of you that know me know I would never lift a finger towards exercise, now I have singed up to run the marathon, 26.2 miles. I am running in memory of Julian Reddick. In Honor of two good friends dealing with the Big C word. George Allsion and another well known Jet guy that lurks here who uses a ferret or ghopher in his avatar. Both right now are survivors. I will be listing all my excess jet stuff in RCU really cheap but the payment will go towards cancer research. Now every saturday morning is spent practicing with the personal trainer. I am up to five miles as of this morning.

Default HAWAII Jets??

Hi Ralph

It would be great to have a jet flyin out here. I just wonder about the logistics for everone. We would have to work on a field as we have lost Ford Island to the higher security that is now in place in Pearl Habor.

We currently have one asphalt runway but it is in poor condition, We do get to use a military field about once a month that is very nice but, I do not know about how many people we could get on base.

Anyway my email is [email protected]. We will be glad to show you around Ralph. I commend you on your commitment to running a marathon, that takes some balls...

Thanks Buck and Duke.

Duke, Since I am going to be there, I do want to see if I can check out the local R.C. Scene, Is there any shops there??. Need anything I can stuff in a suitcase?

Meantime I have a five months left to grow those balls. It's one way I found I can actually payback for all the great times all I had with those close to here and the rest of you Jet guys.

Default good news

Duke,

good to go. I'll be flying into Hickham on Friday night and will be staying at the Outrigger downtown. I've got all day Saturday to goof off and then I'll leave for Sunny So Cal on Sunday.

Playing with you guys will be the perfect ending to my deployment.

e-mail or reply with your number and I'll give a shout. Look forward to playing with you guys.

thanks

buck

Default It was our Pleasure

Hello Buck

It was great meeting you, and taking you around to the flying fields. We will be more that happy to have you over again.

Well I remembered my start equipment today and got in a flight with the F-15 but broke a gear, ( Needed to change to Robostruts anyway) Woddy and I flew our F-15s in formation and it was great. Woody had his J-600 humming right along in his Avonds F-15.

Next was the F-16. (Yellow F-16A) Man that thing flew great! The grass made for an interesting take off run, But after it broke ground it was off to the races! Good vertical, but as it got too fast the pressure or vaccum inside / outside the fuse caused the top hatch to pop open even with a 64 rubberband holding it down from the inside! Any way Woody flew great and the hatch was a non event as when he slowed down the hatch popped back down. He made a great landing.

Good flying m8!

Hello Buck

Hey these guys are quick man! they already have the video up from this afternoon! Yellow F-16A with PST J600. Looks like a bush pilot airstrip eh lol. Man we need to make that runway smoother. : )

Aloha,

Nice F16, Woody but you need smoother runway! Glad that the J600s are performing well. We flew two F15s with PST J600 on Sunday as well. Also Yellow F4 and Kangaroo were storming the sky.

Our runway is a bit smoother...
