John, We tried a P-80 and it was a bit too much power, (dog only weighs 38). He kept losing it in the turns. This was back before the P-60 was out, so out of necessity we used this powerplant. Depending on what I feed him, we get an afterburner effect.

Guess $350,000 fast wasn't enough LOL!!!!

Umm i know this is going to sound completely stupid but if you look closely at the photo. you can see the reflection of the engine in the cars paint job. As for the suspension it is alot lower theres a 2 inch gap and normally on the diablo there is a 5 inch gap from wheel to fender. As alot of you stated the engine is mounted backwards and you are correct because the car was going to be used in the next spykids movie and have CGI used for the flames but they wanted the fan blades to turn to add the so call realism effect but unfortunately there wont be another spykids movie due to lack of funding. If you get a subscription to Entertainment magazine there is an article there with a pic of that exact diablo..if im not mistaken its back in the December issue of 2003. I will look for it and hopefully the wife hasnt thrown it out of the mans library "yes in talking about the head.." and post it for you if its ok with RCU..

Hi John

Sorry I missed you when you came to Sumter, if your ever back here please look me up. Glad to see your still active and doing what you love to do. As for me I'm still boring holes in the sky and sometimes the ground. I still consider you one of the best builders/fliers I ever met, sorry we don't get to fly with each other anymore. I'm still dabbling in pattern and am leaning towards the bigger 3D type planes, never going to have the budget to do the jets. Take care John. BTW the old flying field here closed Sunday as they started building houses right across the fence from the field so we moved down the road a few miles near the approach end of Shaw. Near Glasscock trucking co.

Mine is not photo shop or hanging from a wire. I actually strapped the turbine to my dog and made him pose for the shot! Cruelty is not having him cross the finish line first - THAT would be cruelty.

P.S. I care more about that dog than most people I meet on the street, including anyone I meet from the (RSPCA) or the (ASPCA) or even the (R-E-S-P-E-C-T) Tell me what it means to me!

Somehow I have a feeling that your statement applies to more than a few of us!
Now please excuse me while my 2 boys clean my ears for me!
