I was wondering if anyone was flying one of these L-159 Alca Bigger than Airworld's L-39 by a few Inches all the way around.
If so I'd like to know flying habits along with power plant. I just purchased one and wanted some feedback.
Thanks in Advance.................. Johnny Hernandez

Johnny, Wow, that bird looks great. A freind just got a Franz Walti L39 the large one and I was looking at getting one also. Who makes the kit you got, what is the kit & gear price and what is their web page.
Thanks

I recently bought one of these too. Can't comment on the flying yet - the model's still to be finished off - but, for power, I'm going to use my AMT NL Pegasus HP ES (and probably only the first 50% of the throttle stick at any one time!)
Keep us informed on how yours goes.

Hi Dick, I'm thinking in Dropping an FTE 750+ and probably a Rhino on the other. One of them is strictly a practice jet and the other will go to Top gun and WJM.
I honestly think that the FTE-750 + will be the best setup for it, I'll keep you guys posted after test flights sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Hi Kevin,
The one I have is from a German manufacturer called Grolz (I think that's the correct spelling). They have a website and, if I can find the address, I'll post ot to you.

Kevin,
The website for the manufacturer of my L-159 is:
http://www.goetz-gfk-modelle.com/Home.htm
It's a bit bare but the pictures give you an idea of what the model's like.

Hi again
this L-39 was designed/built from Martin Hoffmann in Germany. This one is much bigger then the L-39 from Airworld and also the L-159 from Goetz.

Hi Johnny, I do not want to intercept your thread, but the sites listed in the above threads are not really clear, is there anyone who can list the leading manufacturers of the "L39-159" larger scale birds by actual wing span and length, and give an estimated price by USD standard. And maybe a description of quality, materials used in construction, and pros and cons of that kit. I would hate to spend $$$$ and realize I should have bought the "other" kit.
Thanks
