Default Servo question

Hi Guys,

I'm finishing off my D/F BVM F16 and all I have to do is fit the aileron servos, battery and balance it. I have two Futaba 9202's on the elevators but I'm in a dilema about the ailerons. Do I use another couple of 9202's or would JR591's be enough? What do you think?

Regards
Scott

Scott,

I'm a advocate of overkill as far as servos go. On my YA F-16, I have a pair of Hitec 5945's (180 oz torque) on the stabs, and ailerons have a pair of 5925's at 130 oz torque.
I will do the same on my BVM Falcon.
To answer your question, I think a minimum of 70 oz of torque would be ok on the F-16 ailerons. More than that is gravy.

Good luck,
Jeff

I have two JR 8411's (140 oz) each on stabs and ailerons. More than enough.

Irfan.

I'm in the process of putting together my bvm F16 DF. If planning to have in flight mix what servo would be recommended.

For the mixture you can use a 351 or DS368 if you prefer digital.
