Ive tried asking this question in the RAM page but no answer has been offered.
The O ring on my 500 gets oily and needs cleaning after every start. The oil is not coming from behind the spun cover. I have been told it is lube oil that is being sprayed out the front of the engine in a fine mist while running, if this is true is there a way to stop it?
thanks in advance

Send an E-mail to Carlos of RTI, He is the one doing the Ram repairs since the demise of Ram itself.
[email protected]
He went the extra mile to get my 500 running right.
The fuel manifold was partially clogged and the combustion chamber was never right from the time it was new.
He got a new manifold from his supplier.....guess what..... it was cracked, and leaked. He then got another, guess what......it was clogged!!!!!Third time must have been a charm, 'cause it was OK!
After replacing the above parts, when he tried to run it the starter crapped out!
That had to be replaced also. Then................
He wasn't happy with the bit of flame it was giving off on start up, so he had to tweek the tailcone to eliminate that.
Another day to go to Ram and get the fixture he made (when he worked there) to do the tailcone tweek job.
He says it runs great, now. I'll let you know tomorrow after I get it back and run it.
It's a pleasure to do business with a person such as Carlos, he was always there when I called Or called me back!!!! And he didn't beat around the bush. He even called me to give me updates (on his nickel), as he knew I was expecting it back a looooong time ago. (I sent it in before Ram shuttered the joint!)
As of this moment it is in Ky in transit back home to me.
(I checked the tracking # he gave me.)

I would also like to say that I sent my 750 and 1000 in for check up. Carlos replaced the bearings on the 1000 and I got it back on Tuesday. Yesterday in the PM, he called me at home to inform me that my 750 is on the way. I will pick it up tomorrow in the A.M. from United Parcel Smashers (UPS ) before heading out to Hearts Of Ohio Jet scramble.
Thanks Carlos for your prompt response, and best of luck with your new endeavor. Also a big thanks to Albert for letting Carlos use his equipment to balance my turbine.
