Hi,
I have a MX22 so I'm using only thumbs.
But I want to buy a MC24 and I have to learn to put my fingers on it too.
I don't know if will be better.

I remember that whilst learning how to fly, the instructor (now a good friend) always used his thumbs, but told me to use fingers. 'Don't do as I do, do as I say'
Depends how precise I want to be with my flying. I find fingers easier for precision. Thumbs for relaxed.

Thumbs and index finger for me.
Feel I have much more precise control that way.
I got curios one time and tried the thumbs only... Almost crashed the darn thing....

Thumbs & index fingers for me!! I feel much more in control when flying this way..I dont feel near as in control when using just thumbs.I tried that once & the controls get way too sensitive I felt..I just feel you can get much more finer input when you use your indexs & thumbs
Plus I was always leary of just thumbs for fear of my thumb slipping off the stick somehow while in flight..Could happen you just never know [X(] 2 digits is better for me than just one LOL

My thumbs only tends to subscribe an arc that causes unwanted aileron input when moving the elevator. This is much less of a problem with thumbs/index-finger. Feedback on position seems to be more precise also.

I use both thumbs and thumbs&fingers throughout a flight. It all depends on the type of flying I am doing. For flying a basic pattern, I use thumbs only. I use thumbs & fingers for more precise maneuvers like 4 point rolls or knife edge flight.

I second that..... For me it may be because I grew up in the video game age, no need for index finger on Nintendo, SNES, or Playstation (had to be good with the thumb to beat all of my buddies). So I never needed it in RC either.

Good point, never thought of it that way. That explains why when I tried to use thumb and finger it felt terrible. I had 1,000,000 hours using just thumbs on my nintendo as a kid!

amazingly close poll,,one of many benefits of thumb & finger is a trick i found..,, when i go inverted , i instantly/automaticly make my thm&fing tips make a V shape that the stick rests in.. when u do this u cannot pull the stick ,u can still push it fwd and to the side but will never panic and pull it into the ground..
