I did first and second flights today, the plane flew great. I have a wren 54 in it, and the fuel consumption was about 32 oz in 8 min run time. I was flying at about 2/3 throttle (120,000) RPM. Lands very nice. Thanks Tim D you have a great design.

Greg I didn’t make the wings removable. I did carbon fiber the wings to the fuselage; I also had to add carbon fiber to the area around the turbine to strengthen the tail. It had to much flex. Also carbon fiber the horz. Stabilizer.
Are you building one? George

Hey,
That's awsome, we are building one now, should have it done in around a month or so. Do you have any info on who designed it or any building tips yet, only issue I see is mounting the wings.

Hi Tim
I added a speed brake and a lot of carbon fiber, mine weighs 13.25 dry. I fly at 5200 ft and we need a lot of drag to get the planes to slow down. I also made the flaps bigger than you showed on the plans. The plane fly’s great at that weight smooth take offs and landings. Thanks Again George
Justin, Tim D made the kit(two posts up) if you have a questions just e-mail me George

Hi George!
Yup I've got one waiting for me to get off of the computer (got it from one of the original group).
Hope I can get up to Chatfield next time you fly!
Later
