anyone have to use more than 2.2v for their plug voltage ? I had to set mine to 2.8 before my PHT3 would light up ... Under the test menu on the GSU, it also took 2.8v for me to see the plug glow .....
any input would be very appreciated ..

I know that after doing some ECU changing and whatnot, I had to lower the voltage to 1.8 or 1.9 to keep from blowing the plugs, the old one didnt do it, but it was the same glow driver board, go figure..... There must be some inconsistency in there somehow.

What Plug are you using? The starter on the PHT-3 is much larger than the P-80 or the 120 and draws a lot more amps. I would make sure your battery is in good condition and fully charged. Most of the starting problems I have encountered with these units always leads back to the battery being weak! I have switched to the 3000 NiMh battery that jetcat offers and have had no more problems. As for blowing plugs, some of the ECU's prior to the " G " version will put full voltage to the plug if the RX is on and you plug in the ECU battery pack!

my problem is resolved ! glo driver, and starter electronics on the PHT3 are on the outside of the turbine in a separate box. I had reacently replaced the electronics box with a new one because of temperature sensor pboblems. the glo circuit is grounded to the turbine via the PHT3's frames (to which the electronics box connects), and it seems i just needed to clean the conhnection to the frame with some alcohol. I did not see any oil, dirt or anything, but a few swipes of the alcohol made the whole diference .... I'm now running at 2.1V again !
