Default Skyburner Questions

I am looking at building a Skyburner 60 for my first ducted fan project. I would like opinions from skyburner pilots. I have an OS 91 and Ramtec lined up.

I have a 200 foot grass field to fly from. Will this project work?

Any building opinions or suggestions please. I have the original MAN issue and the plans. At this time I am looking at fixed gear and installing retracts later.

I've built it and if I did it over again I would build the wings to be removeable instead of a one piece unit. I enclosed the elevator pushrod just in case of a gear up landing. Other than that it's per plans. I'm in the process of covering it this winter. Will have a OS 77 in a Ramtec fan in it first. Later plan to replace the OS 77 with a Rossi 90 to really "burn up the sky". Hope this helps. Happy Holidays!

Oh man...I finally figured out how to put one on and it just happened to be this one. Actually, after looking at the various ones I 've seen, I like this one the best. But thanks for asking!

Default Skyburner Questions

I have a number of shots of the MiG and this one also struck my fancy. Ideally one from a more forward angle (so the off boresight helmet mounted missle sights are in parameters) would be better, but what the hell!

I just picked up the wood and am still trying to verify the fan and engine for the 'burner. Anyone who reads this list able to cut wings in Toronto area?

I am thinking of schemes, and one I thought of is a manufacturers' demo version. I would like to make flags for every country where someone has built a skyburner. Any takers? I know Canada, USA and Austrailia. What about others??

Stephen
