F-100 Super Sabre " The Hun "
Has anyone built a F-100 by Century Jet Models? I have just purchased one of thier kits and I am just starting construction. Im looking for any one who has built one either by Century or another manufacturer. I would like any construction tips that someone may have or what the flying characteristics may be. I plan on building it as scale as possible with as much detail as possible. Anyone with pictures of detail that they would like to share would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Stan:
I have not built the kit, but have looked into getting one also.
What do you think of the kit? can you post any pictures?
Thanks
Kevin

Hello Kevin,
I purchased this kit from a local hobby store that had it in storage for a while. Apparently it was moved from one storage to another and much of the wood was ruined from getting wet. It also was missing the hardware and canopy. But for what I did get the fiberglass fuselage, foam wings and tail feathers and just a couple of pieces of ply that escaped damage, it appears to be in good shape. I did however contact Century and they were very polite and helpful. The fiberglass is as good or better than some of the other fiberglass fuselages I have worked with. I also received the plans but no instructions, which century does offer. I have been working on an order list and will be ordering all that I am missing shortly. When I receive all the missing parts Ill try to lay it out and take some pictures for you. I also will try and chronicle the building process so that everyone may have some reference to. I hope that anyone out there that has built one will throw in their two cents worth and what ever tip they may have. If there is anything that I learn, Ill try to pass it on here.

I have not seen any progress on this thread for a while. I have one of these kits, and was debating going turbine with it, maybe a Wren 44, to keep it light and simple. If any of you guys are interested in the kit though, I will sell it or trade it since I may not get around to it for a while.
