It's in Lakeland, just outside Orlando. Be a great place for a getaway.

Actually probably closer to go to TPA (Tampa) if you are flying in but a couple days in Mickey land and a day trip or two to Lakeland would probably warm you up.

After last year's Florida Jets, I spent a day and a half in the Tampa Airport trying to get home. I fly non-rev (stand-by) and a bad fog had delayed a couple of cruise ships, inbound for Tampa. The passengers from those ships, all hit Tampa airport several hours later than they were supposed to. I was supposed to fly out early Sunday afternoon, but ended up leaving very late Monday night.

But it was my first trip to Florida Jets and it was worth it.

That seems to be typical. I just go to Orbitz or Expedia, etc, and make my own arrangements. This year I picked the Holiday Inn South which is reasonable and close to the field. I believe it is also the headquarters hotel, for whatever that's worth.
