Composite Fuel Tank Tutorial?
#1
Does anyone have, or know of an online location of a How to Build A Composite Fuel Cell / Tank step by step? I need a custom wedge shaped 200oz tank with mounting tabs and possible skid plate for the JetLuge project. I need to decide to Do It Myself or farm it out. I did a quick search and only found a few tips here and there.
Thanks
Bob
PS Check out the Washington Post - Source Section this Sunday if you can.

Don't know off-hand of an online source, but if you would PM me your email address then I'll send you some info on making the tanks.
For stuff like tank fittings, you could get these from sources such as www.bvmjets.com

P.S. If you don't already have a source for the composite materials, you may want to consider Art's Hobbies (http://www.arts-hobby.com/) - that's who I bought my stuff from for the tanks I'll be making for my Hunter.

Hello,
Carve out a piece of foam that will fit nicely into your space with 1/8" clearance for finish. Send it to me and I'll do the rest. What jet is this for? I can build it from epoxy glass/carbon.
