I need help on how the wings are attached to the fuselage.
I have the block with the blind nut and screw but
there are no instructions. This is not the Graupner kit.
I have the instructions for it but they do not agree with
the parts from Planes Plus. All help is greatly appreciated.

Johnny, I'm in the same boat as you i started a Hot Spot last week that i got in a trade with a guy. I need to do some research on that to.Over the weekend i installed the SlimJet 2300 and equipment for the turbine. I found some useful information here on RCU the
Unofficial Guide for building the Hot Spot. That's a big help being this is my first turbine. Good luck with your jet. dave

The Simjet 2300 is great for the hotspot, giving you all the speed
you need. It takes awhile to learn how to slow the plane down for
landings, so make sure you have fuel left to make several go
arounds. Always be ready for the lag when you decide to abort the
landing. You will love the hotspot, it is very easy to fly.

Hot spot with Simjet 2300....Looks familiar....

KAPTAN KAOS, can i ask you a question, did you glass in the wings i here you can but not a must, like the fins? And i was planing on putting a block of wood in the wing at the tube using a screw 6-32 to hold the wing on, how are you wing held in place? Thanks dave

Yes I glassed the wings and the verticals. I also put a strip of CF up the vertical fins for extra firmness. The wings are held on with a socket head screw from inside the wheel wells. They screw into a captive nut that I put into the wing. I brazed an extention onto the socket head screw for easy access from inside the wheel wells. I decided to use this method over the Graupner method. I did not like to see the bolt holes on the top of the wing.

I believe Todd W had something showing this set up in the past.

Many guys cover the wing with film including mine. Just make sure the leading edges are sealed. I've seen the covering peel off the leading edge of a couple of P-120 powered birds. A clear strip capping the leading edge like a de-icing boot wooks fine.

Thanks guys for the input, as of now i think Ill drill a 1/4 hole up the hight of the fin for a cf arrow shalf apoxied in place and glass the fins, use film on the wings black and white squares on top, yellow on the noise to the lg and all yellow on the bottom with a black off set from center strip, the fins in yellow with flames maybe green, what do you think?? I just finished a twin dust for a good friend that i used squires on the wing and i like the look, go to my Gallery if you like to see some pic. later dave

Johnny, I cut a 1 x 6 and clamp it to the fuss to hold the wing level while the apoxy dries. later dave
