Has anybody received landing gear for the F-18 yet?. What is up
with this company?. They will not return phone calls and will not answer emails and not refund your money. What have people done about this in the past. They do not even answer the phone. Are they using our money to finance their projects?. I received a email back in April from them saying the gear was going to ship in July and they appoligized for the delay. Lies once again . Why cant they just tell the truth?

I spoke with the BBB about this company. They say it may be possible they have gone out of buisness
because the letters they send to them come back un deliverable. I contacted a attorney and he told me to file a complaint with there states attorney.
I have done so and I urge the rest of you who are in the same boat as me to file complaints with the state attorney of California. The matter will be investigated.

CBM sent me an email after I sent them a copy of my complaint I sent to their states attorney. They say my F-18 gear will ship next week. I sent the complaint to their states attorney 2 hours ago and sent CBM a copy of my filed complaint. Low and behold a responce from CBM an hour later subject: Hornet Gear

We understand your compaint and sincerely apologize for our inability to
deliver our new Hornet landing gear as scheduled. We have shipped the first
gears to guys who ordered and paid before you. Your order should ship
sometime next week. Sorry again for the unscheduled delays but we really
think you are going to like what we have produced.

How far are you on the building process ?

Combat Models R/C Jets

I urge those of you who have not received payed for goods from this company to file a complaint with there states attorney and send a copy of it to CBM.

Default got um

Awat,
I recieved my gear today. They look pretty good, The detail finish could be better but not bad. They are MUCH better than the yellow struts for their single f-18. I wish I had a digital camera I would post some pictures

BTW they weigh 14.3 oz complete

14.3 oz?

Does this include the retract mechanism or is this just the strut weight and wheels?

I wish you had a digital camera too

Does anyone have a spare canopy for the CBM F-16N?
I've tried to order one from CBM but no response, no surprise I guess.

Thanks,
Chuck

Yes,

Those struts sure look a lot nicer than the ones for the Yellow single-engine Hornet, but since only one guy has some, it remains to be seen whether or not they're 'better' :-)
Anyway, it's an 'apples/oranges' comparison, since the Yellow A/C struts are just attatchments to wire gear, whereas the CMB ones are an integrated system. I was very impressed with them when I saw them, but they cannot be attatched to standard gear.
I actually asked Byron from Combat models to make some of those for my Yellow A/C Hornet, but he didn't think they would be able to handle the weight of the fiberglass jet, so we'll see.....
