I am looking for information regarding the ME 163 Comet. I would like to build one around 80in wingspan. If anyone has some information, can they please pass it along.

Talk to Joe Beshar. His phone is 201 2611281. He built one from the bob holman plans at 130" or so, for turbine. He also built a smaller 48" one. He spent a lot of time working out the dolly and such, so rather than reinvent the wheel, USE his experience. He's a great fellow.

Craig,
Check out http://www.lazer-works.com
Jesse at Lazer Works cut me a semi-kit of the 80" Me 163 from plans by Jim Kiehl at a VERY NICE price. Quality of the laser cutting was excellent and wood selected was very good.
The fuselage former shown at the site's opening page is from the kit he did for me. He should still have everything scanned so cutting shouldn't take long.
Mr. Kiehl can be emailed at [email protected] for information on plans prices, canopies, nose cone. I think he has plans for three different sizes.
Another good website is found at: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/andrew.walker6/komet/
Hope to get this one on the building board this winter!
Bill

Hi Craig
You may want to check with the National Aviation Museum in Ottawa. I believe they have one in storage.

I built a ME-163 that has a 82 inch span. I built the plug, mold and the fuse out of fiberglass. I also built the take off dolly, works good. I also built a 50 inch version out of glass. The small one screamed with a front rotor rear exhaust OS40. The big one moves along great with a Jett 90 rear exhaust. On both the tuned pipes are enclosed in the fuse. There was a picture of the big one in a old "Flying Models". Mike Krizan [email protected]
