Default Aero fly sim

HI all, to sharpen my jet flying I received a Aeroofly Deluxe version simulator.I have a new Dell 8400 and the only way to run the program is to disconnect the USB keyboard and the sim runs great. Since I have not got any answers from the support group and it is jet related, I thought i try the jet world computer gurus. Any help would be appreciated.

How many USB ports do you have?
Why not just get a PS2 kb?
Check in device manager for any problems,
confilicts, or if any drivers are missing.

Aerofly Pro should run fine on that system. Make sure that you have nothing also running in the background of the PC. Mine was running poorly until I disabled some 'organizer' program that was running (automatically) in the packground. Bob

HI, I have tried my old PS2 keyboard and it runs except I don"t get sound.i sure would like to be able to use my new keyboard.
From my desktop I run areofly, what exactly do you mean by not having anything running in the back ground.

Hi,
Hit ctrl-alt-delete and a window will pop up with a list of all the programs running. Close everything you don't need. With Win 98, you only need systray and explorer. If you're using XP, I think you need a couple of other programs running, not sure which ones though.
For whatever it's worth, I designed a FACET 2300 for AFPD over the winter, since I couldn't fly mine. Here's a couple of shots.

Coincedence...I tried your Facet this morning - no sound but it flies nicely. Good job.

Thanks.
The turbine sounds are not the greatest in AFPD. You really only hear it if it's close by. I'll fool around with the sound file and see if I can make it louder. I'm still learning the programing part. The visual model was "easy" compared to the programming.

There's no KingCat or BVM F-4. There is an F-4, however it's design is kind of dated. There's really not a lot of jets, compared to Extra's, etc. I wanted something different, and I'm always up for a challenge, that's why I decided to learn how to design the models for AFPD. Unless an individual designs them, I doubt that the people at IPACS will make either one.

HI all, their is no problem running Aerofly Pro on a Dell, it's the Aerofly Deluxe version that will not run on a Dell, and funny thing is the deluxe works fine on my sons MDG computer but will only run on mine if I disconnect the USB keyboard. Maybe it has something to do with the PCI card or the setting for the sound. Anyway i keep getting the same answer from Dell and Aerofly that there is some setting that have to be changed, each one is passing the buck.
