Anyone seen a pylon type mount for a turbine, I have a PST600 that I am looking at mounting on a pylon? I have done a quick sketch to illustrate, OK very rough but it IS early.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Bart, not a lot to work with there, but you might try an upside down "roo" installation. Do a search for mouting turbines to a Kangaroo. You will find a post by auther "seanreit" related to laminating 6 pieces of 1/64 ply and aeropoxing the home made cradle to the Roo fuse. The only difference would be orientation and I would add some screws through the mount into your what you are hangining off of. If you decide this route, I highly recommend making the center section of your misile there out of hardwood etc. Hope you get my point.

Hard to see on the PCM website about the AV8R but I am looking at having the vertical wooden plywood beam and then mount the turbine on the top, that is what I was trying to get across in the drawing, not well obviously. Nony I would like to centre the turbine on the beam therefor your piece wouldn't work unless I used 2.
The mount would then consist of 2 pieces on the bottom to make the bottom half that would bolt through 1-1/4 mount, 2-beam, 3-1/4 mount, and then use the normal 1/2 round pieces on the top. I am planning on mounting a fibreglass 'structure' over the engine also, which would be a cowling type of structure.
A bit hard to say, I can see it clearly. I might have to make up a prototype or just find some metal of the correct type and bend my own.
Thanks
