Pugachev's Cobra was perfected by Vicktor Georgievich Pugachev "Hero of the Soviet Union" in a non-vectored thrust airframe. Many combat oriented maneuvers have been developed since in the SU35 and SU37 airframe with improved engines and thrust vectoring. This is truly amazing stuff, and yes it does look like David Shulman's flying!

I wonder if my twin 9' OAL SU will be able to do that? The RAM-K video, with some close-ups of 'The Man'- Pugachev- has some neat maneuvers but nothing like these! When you look at the pilots, you realize just how big that plane is. Looks like in some of the maneuvers, the pilot could get out ,walk around, clean the windows, and check the oil!

Holy cow!!
That is just extreme.[:-]
Wonder when we will see those kind of maneouvers done by a rc jet...?
We would definatly need two axis thrust vectoring on twin engines + a lot of practice first.....[>:]

Can U imagine having to do some Air to Air against a competent Pilot flying that SU35.
Makes me really wonder if thats why the US has went for more of the Stealth technology.
