I know this has been asked before, but that was weeks or months ago and I didn't need to get a hold of them before.
I never knew about the "weird" hours. 9 to 12 on two days of a 5-day work week? Banker's got NUTHIN on them.

I tried calling during "opened" hours but still get the machine. You guys may not be able to help me with a canopy I need for the Suk., but maybe you can help me with a paint color.

Is the Blue Angel Blue on the A-4 ARF the actual FS#? (15050 I believe) I'm trying to match the paint and am trying to find out what was used. If not, I'll have to take it to the paint store and let the computer match it. I'm trying to avoid that b/c all I need is a very small amount.

TIA
George

I hear ya!

I went through this same thing a few weeks back and it was even harder being 3hrs behind out here in Ca.

So the days of the week they close at noon is actually 9am in California. I pretty much have to just treat them as only being open 3 days per week.

Then also on the open days I had a hard time actually speaking with anybody.

I ended up faxing my questions in and then I still had to wait a week to get the answers.

Frustration!

Take the hatch or other part of the plane to a good auto paint store and they can match it. They do it every day for the car body shops.

Joey, I knew about the MM, but wasn't sure if it was the same the color. I may just go get some and try it. Thurs. is a go depending on the weather.

Todd, no problem on the software. Thanks.

What I'm wondering is,

Why not just post the question on here to begin with. It's free. You'll get help from someone faster than a week. Normally, I'll be able to come back within a day or so. I'm still getting settled in up here in the bay area (my new home, temporarily while I'm working up here), and I don't have my stuff hooked up yet.

Default Didn't I?

Thanks Shaun. I did post my paint question in the first post and was just wondering about the other (hours). In the past, I've had no trouble getting through the first time, but remember seeing something a few weeks back about getting hold of Y/A.

I talked to them yesterday and got all the info. I was looking for.
BTW, the blue on the Blue Angel ARF is just a dark color blue not the actual color they use. I'll be going to the auto paint store and having it matched. I'll probably get this wrong, but I think he said it was an automotive lacquer and a urethane clear. I'm sure about the clear.

Thanks again,
George

Sure, but when it is a commercial question only the vendor can answer, then it makes no sense posting here!

Also the time I was talking with Yellow in Mass was when you were O/S Shaun.

How long are you up here for? Where are you located? Where do you plan to fly? Are you going to fly?

Did you by any chance bring a Starfire I could look at?

Are you going to the Woodland/Davis Jet fly this Saturday?

A lot of questions I know, but if you are close I would like to use the opportunity.

BTW I am going down to San Diego next weekend to attend the Miramar MCAS Airshow! I have the premium seats booked right in the middle of the flightline with all the food and drink included for the whole day.....it is going to be a blast!
