Hi Guys-I think I want to give SimJet a try for my next purchase. Am trying to decide between the 1200 and the 2200. Here is what I am conflicted on-The 1200 has 18 pounds thrust weighs less and is smaller, probably better throttle response than the 2200. The 2200 has 22#s basicly the same fuel usage but is heavier and physically bigger. (KJ66 size vs MW54 size). It looks like the 1200 is newer engineering than the 2200. For now it is going in a Rookie. Whaddya think? Scott

Hi Scott.
You have to think a little about what planes you might be flying in the future as well. If I were buying an engine for a Rookie, I'd go for the 1200 SP (less weight and better fuel economy) If you want to use it in other/bigger planes in the future you might want to consider the 2300.
Call Ed at Great Northern Models and have a talk about your options.

Hi Scott
Like Stig said, you need to consider where you want to use the engine in the future. Drop me a line or call this afternoon and we can talk through the options.

Fuel usage is a point hower the can size and weight makes a difference also
My p-80 can make 20lbs but the can size and weight will not work in my case as i am sure is the case in several aircraft.
but the Simjet will open up a new playing field with the power and small can size along with light weight.

Don't want to sound slanted or anything like that! However as a rep, I have seen this organization come full circle in the last few years. The service offered by the folks at Great Northern is second to none. Go Simjet, you will not be dissapointed.
