Default PST 600

I just got my PST 600 last week, and it looks like a very well made engine.
Just finishing an AV8R, and should have it going in about a week.
Who makes the Serpent?
Looks like it might be fun.
Regards
Ron

Wow - truly amazing. That's the first good-looking thing to come out of Scotland since - well, since I emigrated of course !

(Hint - this is the part where everyone is supposed to agree about my good looks... )

I'm having a little problem with that website, but will keep trying.

Default PST

Hi Sandman:
I got my PST last week, and I purchased it from Chris Mounkley at TJT jets in Australia, who is the distributor.
Chris had it shipped from the plant in Thailand, and they shipped on Monday, and it arrived on that Thursday.
The e-mail address for Chris is [email protected]
Best regards
Ron

Hello rjpilot

Thank you for the info. Has this engine gone through all the AMA stuff, so we can fly it at the Jet Rallies?
Could you give me PST's website?

I hope this turbine works out, we need this size turbine in the jet world. I have three airframes that it would be perfect in.
Please keep me/us posted as you put more and more runs/ flights on it, I am sure many others are interested.

Best of Luck
Paul

Hi Paul,

Easy answer, contact Myself Or Marty Cowan. We are the Canadian Reps for TJT/PST, handling any US deals until our new distributor in the US is announced.

I'm working the AMA approval docs, so if you need a ground school or want any info on the product, please send me an email and we will sort things out. The AMA demo engine is being shipped out to me tomorrow, then on a bench for testing / documenting its performance, and off to the AMA.

BTW, Intro Price is $2100 +shipping+taxes, regardless of the REP that handles the order. The unit comes equipped with our fully automatic start TEMS ECU, same as the TJT-3000 but different software. TJT/PST engine servicing will be done out of our (to be announced) US facility or by myself in Vancouver. Both sites will have balancing capability and service stock. Once an engine enters North America, it should never need to leave North America.

If you'd like any other information, please post it here for all to see, or send me an email. I can forward copies of the J600's user manual if anyone would like to read up on the engine and its operation. The file is 1.4mb, PDF format in a zip file.

Thanks,
Kelly

Hi guys,

Thanks for giving the J600 a chance to prove itself. We have been flying the J600 in Thailand long before its commercial appearance at the 4th Jet Master in Nov 2001. Now you guys can enjoy our little J600 as well. Together with TJT Perth, the J600 will be distributed world-wide and will be AMA approved soon.

For USA and Canada, Kelly and Marty can help you. For UK, Rob and Iain of IAD (designer of the Serpent) are there to help. These guys are factory reps so buying factory direct or thru them will end up the same on your side. PST recommends that you go to the nearest reps in order to get close service supports.

Thanks and more details at www.pstjets.com

Default Low Pass!

If I did it inverted the fins would scrape the runway! and If you can do it lower I would like to see it.

The next finished kit will be photographed and published before dispatch.

The reason there is no details of the Serpent kit on my website is due to overwhelming demand (from word of mouth).
These kits are completely hand-built by myself.

Default Lower again

Iain- Serpent looks great and will be popular for sure, as size is perfect, we need more bigger, affordable sport jets...
Also Iain! I have done a lower inverted pass! unfortunately on my lowest pass the fin got in the way of said pass being even lower, the end result was spectacular! model sheared vertical fin off then climbed vertically rolling until I closed throttle and then gravity took over SPLAT!.... Luckily it was not an expensive jet, just a very old sport prop model....the gathered Sunday club crowd were mightily appreciative of the entertainment though : )

Cheers-

Hi Guys
I have my PST J600 installed in my Philip Avonds F15. The small turbine powers this large model with thrust to spare. The model previously had a JPX T260P installed. The PST J600 has more than enough power for the F15 and flies it even better as it is now a few pounds lighter.

hi guys

I got to tell you all users of J600 that you guys have just bought urselves a really good piece of machinery and I have myself been to the PST test field this sunday and seen it out perform a pretty well known engine by far.

I was given hands on experiece of this fine piece. It was attached to a brand new kangaroo and man did it fly. IT was doing vertical rolls right out of the sky. Guy at PST were kind enuff to give me a short touch on the controls to see how a jet handles i was thrilled coz i got to handle a jet for the first time. AMAZING>..

Thanks to the guys for the wonderful hospitality and a wonderful experience

cheers

Thanks for the kind words, Azuz. You are very welcome here and that goes to all who happened to pass-by Bangkok. I would like to get Iain's Serpent also. I will email you soon Iain. Great jet. My Kangaroo flies pretty well and the Serpent will perform not less.
