Well I guess now I'll put his name out. Thanks Doug E Fresh for the attemp. Anyone heard of a Floyd Larsky of Huntington Beach CA. Anyone recognize this KingKat as someone elses. Nice plane One hell of a deal, but He has send me two emails with second chance offers and then he send me a bill to either send Paypal or Certified Check. I said I live close and would take cash. Ebay Item number: 5985893562

hi,
what is exactly the problem?
I saw this auction and was about to bid but the price went too high for me just before I bid...
are you the one who won it?

YEP, I am the one that won the auction. Iasked for a number and told me that I would go pick up the plane. I said heck for that price, I will pay cash. then right away he send me the first email. Stating the original highest Bidder (ME) back out and he was offering to sell the plane to me. I took that to mean that he maybe emailed anyone that place a bid and made the same offer. so I emailed them all and also explained what was happening. I emailed him a reply from his so called "Second Chance offer" and said I would pay for the item and can take cash. His reply was ONLY PAYPAL OR CERTIFIED check is accepted, so fine I will get a certified check and pick up the plane from you, now no reply. Huntington Beach is only 30 minutes from me so I have no problem going to pick it up. Maybe that's the problem. I asked here to see if maybe he was lisitng some elses plane as his.

Careful Ralph,
Sure sounds like a scam from your description and his slip up email. If you get a reply that cash is okay now make sure you have a friend or friends ( smith and wesson
) go along with you if the meeting is in person.

Ralph-Its a new scam. The second chance offer you got was not even from the original seller. Check out the reply email address that came up when you hit reply in the "official" ebay second chance offer email. It is not the same as the one from the original Ebay listing page. I just got hit with this on that Jetcat turboprop that closed a couple of days ago. The seller is in Boisie, ID-I told him my brother who lives there can come pick it up-and this is the reply I got back:
>>Hello there,
you are one of the bidders who bid on my auction
i have begin this second chance offer because the
winner of my auction didn`t respond to my email.
There are a lots of biiders who bid on the auction
from fun and i hope you are serios and we can
make a clear deal.
Now for the start i will explain you somme steps for
finish this transaction. You can see in the rules that
the price is your last bid!
Soo if you are realy interested, now all you have to
do is to send me exactly those informations:
First name:.....
Last name:.....
Address:.....
City:.....
Country:.....
Zip:.....
Item #:.....
Total amount:.....
I need the detailes exactly like i have requested to
you because i have to fowoard the email to eBAY.
In short time eBay will contact you soon with an
Invoice in order to complete the transaction!
<<
Apparently they dont speak very good english in Idaho.-Perhaps it is Boisie, Nigeria-Anyway it is a new scam-these pig-f------- lowlifes just never give up. Scott

You have received a fraudulant e-mail. Go back to the original ebay listing and click on the "ask the seller a question" button and send an e-mail that way. That should go to the real seller. Then explain your situation and see if he is willing to allow you to pay cash and pick up the plane in person. (but be careful... you never can trust that every seller is on the up and up... check his feedback)
What is happening to you is this:
Someone obviously went on there and saw that you won the auction. (they probably were able to look at the bidders list to do this to the other people too) They clicked on your user name and sent you an e-mail making it look like a real second chance offer. They would put in their paypal info so that you would send the money to the wrong account. The real seller would not know about this going on.
Try contacting the real seller using the above method and hopefully it will work out. It would also be a good idea to notify Ebay so that they can look into this.

Looks like SCAM-O-RAMA...???
That's the KC that was on RCU Swap about a month ago......I believe it was built by Tam for a fellow in Indiana who was selling it....forgot his RCU handle....
I think Tam could fill you in on the details of the plane and original owner......

$5200 for a $11000 plane ....not bad...I was going to bid so I sent the seller a ? about the plane and stated I would pick up in person with $$$ if I was the winning bidder. No reply from seller so I figure it's a scam.

turbulence,
I am from UAE, when I aslked him to send it there he reply to me with this email address:
Floyd Lasky : [email protected]
hope it can helps you.
i remember having a little problem on ebay once (item not received...but finally received later...). I don t remember how but I know that if you have some kind of conflic on ebay you can ask to get the sellers full details (address and so on...). the only thing is that the seller will also get yours...but that is maybe a chance for you if you get the proper address so that you can go there in person!
hope you succeed

Ralph,
If the deal sound so good to be truth. Is always end up in the scam.
Yup, that is my plane. I sold to Gary. Gary had up forsale here on RCU.
I'm not sure if Gary had the plane sold or not.
You are dealing with bad apple.

In other words, this deal was a little too good to be true, and scammers tend to do best when people think THEY are taking advantage, it's the oldest trick in the book.
You KNOW it's too good a deal on the plane.
The other guy who posted about this plane yesterday was VERY anxious to pay for it, he was like "I won the auction fair and square!" and he was very anxious to get in touch with the seller so he could pay and pick up his half-price jet. That's just the kind of situation where someone gets totally suckered.
Think about it for a while.
It's only AFTERWARDS that you stop and say "did I REALLY think I was going to get that for $5000?"
Report it to ebay and just move on, don't get involved with scammers...be aware that many of them are NOT as dumb as you think, and when you get involved in trying to police them, they may be much more clever than you, and it can backfire. Walk away and thank God you did not get taken.

ET,
It was WC Fields, who also said "never give a sucker an even break or smarten up a chump", which seems to be a philosophy that some on ebay really believe in.
BRG,
Jon.

Ebay scams run a huge gamut of types...every time I think I have seen them all, they think of something new.
Some of them are like this...they prey on people wanting a deal that is a little too good to be true...and some of them are almost undetectable. Be careful out there.
Beware of fake second chance offers, there are a zillion of them out there nowadays.

Well I just paid for the Plane. Yup an expect to receive nothing. Heck I wanted to know the name of the Person, and the price was right. Original Name of the person Selling the King Kat. Floyd Larsky, Person sending me the emails for second chance offer. Mike Smith. Person who the Paypal account was registered to (the same email from the eBay ID that made the listing) Churee Smithers.
By the way. I paid a whole .01 Dollars to find that out.
Turbulence
P/S should I go retract that payment before whe can collect???

Since you live in LA I don't see why you can't just pick the plane up and give the seller Cash or certified funds. I would retract the payment ASAP. On a high dollar item like this and with a seller with 0 feedback you better be careful....I was going to bid on this plane and drive 800 miles to pick up and pay for it . But seller would'nt return my emails so I passed. If its a real deal I would be a drivin right now to get my plane. Good luck..............Lou

rcalbuquerque,
I tried the I WIll pick up the plane part. I think however you missed my lame attempts at humor. I Paid him ONE PENNY to his Paypal account to figure out what name it was registered under.
YEP, I knew the deal was too good to be true, but wanted to take that chance. Heck unless you got money to drop like crazy or a pissed off wife of a pilot, WHO would sell a 10K Plus jet for only 5K

Ralph, and anyone else. If you click on a link in an email that is not truly an ebay or paypal.com email, the link and email can be made to look real, and guess what, the scammers will have your login information and access to you bank accounts!
If you happened to do that, go change the information, but from another computer, clicking a link in these scam emails can activate a tracking program that will allow them to get your every keystroke.
