Is this the Top Gun Web site?
http://www.dbalsa.com/jets/top_gun_jets.htm
It is working okay.
I would like to build a MiG29 for a Wren 54. There is one for a ducted fan on this site. Is that what you were considering?

Thanks guys!
Hal, I'm sure there was a pre-production photo of the new MIG for turbine power on the TGA Jets website but the site's vanished.

Scott,
I have flown the Mig on a Wren 54. The one I flew was a DF conversion on the orginal Wren 54's... While not blistering performance, it flew better then a fan version and was quite alot of fun. Built light, this is a great combo...

Hi Hal,
Yes, this was a topgun Mig that was coverted from ducted fan. I dont believe any mods where even made to the airframe for this powerplant. It was a bit anemic on the wren, as it was a original engine with 12lbs or less. In addition, he had a Bi pipe installed that was way too big for the engine...lots of thrust loss. Still, the plane flew nicely once on step and it was a blast to fly.

Hi Todd,
Thanks for the input. I can see this being my winter project
I'm not really bothered about top speed, just that it looks right and can be flown scale...... and will land on my (relatively) short strip!!

Hey All, I just got off the phone with Jody, Steve's wife, and she told me they are in the process of changing servers for the web site. It has been down for a couple of weeks and it is due to problems with the server they use. THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!! Give them a call at: 1-815-433-6123. Steve will be out of the office for the next day or so, however.

Terry
I went to your site and looked at your MiG. It is very impressive. About what size and weight is it and what do you think it will sell for? Would a MW54 power it okay.
Thanks.

Come on Todd, a rubber band and propeller could have pulled that Mig around better

I think the number for Top Gun is 1- 815-433-6132. (Terry you have the last two numbers reversed)
I spoke to Steve a few weeks ago about my order for the turbine Mig-29. He told me it would be shipped out in a few days. He said the same thing 9 months ago also. Good luck with your order. Maybe I'll call again tomorrow and bug him some more...Lol
Hope this helps,
Steven T.

Yup, (815) 433-6132 is the number. They are still there. I have an F-16 from them and just talked to Steve a couple of weeks ago about it. You can also Email him at: tgajets@the ramp.net
