I am trying to find drawings (scale ones perhaps) of the Bae Hawk Mk1 landing gear struts.

well of course! that's second best thing. I will see if I am able to trace them over....hopefully

but at least the strut has to show (not from the outside part - sorry Mick if I am asking for too much)

Red Arrows are heading down here in September so make sure they are up to scratch
