New Roo
Hey BFK,
Happy to help you in this department, nose gear linkage is tooooo long! Had the same type of setup as you and it did not work well. I suggest you take a look at my web site (address below) go to the kangaroo construction pages, you will see how some things are laid out. I have made even further changes that are not on the site but will definitely help you in the long run. I will e-mail you my phone #, call me and we can discuss the rest.
Regards,
Todd

Airspeed
I purchased the plane used and it was already built. I believe Jet Cat sells the speed probe. It's a great feature. especially for newbies like me. i set the speed to 140 mph,... actually 225 kph. Jet Cat recomends using the kph instead of mph. I recomend this feature.

Hitec DS-200MPH
John,
You mean you haven't see the new Hitec 200mph servos?? They are titanium gear, coreless quad bearing with influx capacitors. 975oz/in of torque with a transit time of .000000001 at 1.2 volts. And on a roo you REALLY need them on the speed brake .
Actually...it's just a sticker that comes with the cruise control, some places I fly at 200, some I dial her down to 150 or so depending on site and amount of room. If I have it set at 200 I put the 200mph sticker on the cruise control box so I remember it has been calibrated for that speed, at lower settings I store the sticker on the servo.
Hows the TC coming? Please post some pics as you progress through the building, would love to see how she goes together. Best of luck.....
I love the smell of jetfuel in the morning......

[B]Tam in the picture of the yellow Roo the ribs are visable through the coating. Is that a built up fin (as in not the composit Roo). Someone asked me that. And I added you Roo pictures to my website. THANKS and if anyone else has a Roo picture could you post it here. Thanks Bkf
The fin are composite. The class work are very thin and light. That why you see the root in the fin. Specialy yellow color. The white/red kit can't see the root. Because the color it more solid.
The composite roo are prepainted from the mold. So the paint it only have couple coat.
