Default Difference between Kangaroo/HotSpot/Rookie...?

All of these things look the same to me, just different manufacturers... Is one specifically better than the other? I read the kangaroo has thrust problems, haven't seen that mentioned on the others.. How do they handle grass fields? Look nice, fair price..whats the down side? I'm still doing homework on what my first jet will/should be.... Carbon bobcat and the AD Phoenix are the two I'm looking at now... Don't like looks of boomerang. I know everyone is in love with the bobcat, so no need to post your affection for that model Just not sure I should drop $3700 for my first jet when I'm not sure I will stick with it... Always go back to helis...

Thanks, Mike

The hotspot is much heavier, but also more robust than the kangaroo and rookie.

The rookie has the advantige by having the turbine mounted lower in the fuselage like the hotspot , which reduces pitch changes at different throttle settings. It also can use thrust vectoring.

The Kangaroo is cheaper to buy than the rest :-)

The kangaroo and rookie are ARF`s , while the hotspot is a kit you have to build and glass.

Agree with SJN, the HS and Rookie are better that the Roo because the thrust issue, but even with
this "problem" ( I would prefer to call it a characteristic) the 3 are great jets. And believe me, I am
also a heli pilot and enjoy them too, but flying jets are the best thing that you can do with clothes on.

Best Regards, Enrique

Mike!

How the hell are you??? What a coinkidink! I was just thinking about you this afternoon (my wife's in agony with a toothache) and here you are! Looks like you've come a long way with those helis (I remember your FIRST Raptor!). Anyway, drop me a line!
