I know this link is posted in some other forums, but I hope the mod's will forgive the repetition since it's such a worthy cause...
I'm willing to criticize the AMA when the do something dumb, so I'm happy to be able to sometimes also point out when they do something that seems good:

Perhaps some of you who are relatively local could help out with the requests that involve hands-on help, while others amongst us can perhaps help our fellow modelers in other (e.g. financial) ways. I'm awaiting a call back from Ilona to see how I can help.

Ok - I've talked to Ilona and now got a little bit of financial aid going out to help one of the affected AMA families in Slidell. Since I'm a Scotsman, and we as a nationality are notoriously tight-fisted, maybe some of the Americans with their world-reknowned generosity would care to show me up by doing one better ?
Ilona would be happy to take your calls...
