Today, Jan. 10th I spoke to Mr. Packenbush of the Texas Motor Speedway,(the one located north of Ft. Worth). We spoke breifly about using the parking lot on the north end of the field. I believe we can use this site officially 1 or 2 times a year, depending on scheduling with TMS.........NASCAR would always come first. This area is huge, bigger than most R/C jet events. Ths event will be for all AMA cardholders, with your jet waiver, and for flyers who have a "Prop Jet". Of course all Ducted Fan flyers are welcome too. I would like all flyers of jets to come to this and meet and just get together and have fun. I have spoke with Dave Hudson of GPMAA and he thinks our club would be able to sponsor this some what. Yes there will be a small landing fee, probably no more than $20 bucks. We will try to keep this as simple as possible. If we can pull this off, we might be able to make this an event that might grow...but the bottom line is to come out and fly and have fun....depending on what kind of response we get maybe we can have some judging and maybe some awards handed out. We are planning in this event to be on the 16th and 17th of March. Well that is it for now.....email me or put your comments online here.
