I don't have a Pegasus anymore so double check the manual but if I remember correctly you want about 10mm in front of the bell mouth. There was a thread on the Jets Forum regarding this very topic posted by Kevin Greene. There were a lot of smart guys that had input regarding engine placement. it's worth taking a look.
Like I said doube check the manual, I think there is a page that talks about turbine installation.
