I have the permission from the official at Texas Motor Speedway to go ahead and charter a club. The club name will be Metroplex Jet and Radio Control Association. Of course the club site will be at Tx. Motor Speedway. I am being limited to 20 to 25 members, and we will be limited to flying only when there is NOT an event going on at TMS. We will be having 2 events, 1 in the early Spring and 1 in late September or there abouts. I would estimate flying aprox. 10 days a month or so. When the final paperwork is done. I'll have a better Idea on what days (weather and event schedule permitting) we can go fly. All AMA rules apply...each member will be given 1 guess pass to use for a friend to fly or help that member fly that day. Dues will be $100.00/year. This Club will be catering mostly to Jets, or the higher end($$) of the R/C type aircraft. I'm not trying to snobbish or anything like that,but there are other clubs in the area that can handle a .40 to .90 size aircraft...this site is great for our jets........period. I will be the President of the club, and David Hudson will be the Vice President. Being that this is an Association no elections will be held. So that being said, applications in the form of an email sent to me, or [email protected] will be first come first serve. However if myself or David have not seen you fly, you will need to get recommended from someone we know in the R/C Jet community or you will have to demostrate to us your capabilities.
