Is this bird suitable for grass field operation when powered by 15lb turbine? Can the gear take grass field landings?

Thanks,
Jaime.

Definitely not the smoothest grass field, but it's not too bad, and even smaller tail draggers have no problems operating at this field. I have seen a few ducted fan planes out at the field from time to time and they do OK with just a bit of an extended take-off run.

My question is should I even consider this jet for grass feel operations? Is the scale gear sturdy enough to handle a less than "fairway" like runway?

Thanks.

If DF's are flying out of it, I'm sure the BVM 16 will do fine. Just Mow down the grass as much as you can, also reinforce the gear formers with glass or carbon fiber. Make sure there is no slop!

you will need to first grind out as much epoxy as poss. around all gear formers frt and main then aeropoxy. use bvm alum nose gear flex arms and install the nose gear retract frame braces. note, the intake is like a vacum so also install a f.o.d. screen . it's all you after that
